Importing or exporting obsolete electrical and electronic equipment is subject to applying for a notice.
A notice is a type of licence that allows two companies from different countries around the world to trade in obsolete electrical and electronic equipment. A notice must be requested when obsolete electrical and electronic equipment is transported abroad from the Netherlands or from abroad to the Netherlands. A notice must be submitted to the Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport (Dutch Living Environment and Transport Inspection - ILT). The ILT assesses whether the two parties and involved carriers comply with all laws and regulations. Based on this, the ILT makes a decision.
